The Ticonderoga is a side-paddlewheel passenger steamboat with a walking beam engine. Built in Shelburne, Vermont in 1906 operated as a day boat on Lake Champlain serving ports along New York & Vermont until 1953. In 1955 was moved to Shelburne Museum that now stands as one of the greatest feats of Maritime Preservation. Very impressive indeed exploring the massive engine, four decks, pilothouse, galley and crew's quarters. Quite elegant for its time, now open to visitor for a glimpse into the past.
